Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8/27/2026

1. Introduction

GETPWORKS INC. (operating as "PWORKS", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting privacy and handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how PWORKS collects, uses, stores, processes, shares, analyzes, and protects personal information when you use our application, website, platform, pricing tools, payment features, provider tools, client tools, admin tools, and related services.

PWORKS may operate in multiple countries and markets. Privacy rights and legal requirements may vary depending on where you live.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • users who test pricing
  • users who request or provide services
  • users who communicate with PWORKS or other users

3. Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Identity and Account Data:

  • name, email address, phone number, username, password or authentication information
  • account role, profile details, business name, provider or client type, account status

Address and Location Data:

  • country, city, state, province, region, county, or territory
  • postal or ZIP code, service address, billing address, formatted address
  • latitude and longitude, GPS location where enabled
  • timezone, locale, preferred country or market

Provider Data:

  • profile information, services offered, skills, experience, photos
  • service areas, availability, ratings and reviews
  • identity verification information where required
  • tax, payee, payout, or banking-related information where required, including tax identifiers such as a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) or Business Number (BN) where legally applicable
  • insurance, licensing, or qualification information where submitted

A SIN is not used by PWORKS as identity verification or as a general account identifier. For Canadian payees, PWORKS may request a SIN or another legally applicable tax identifier only for income, payee, tax, or information-reporting purposes, including preparation of a T4A where applicable. Where a legally acceptable alternative identifier, such as a Business Number, applies to the recipient, PWORKS may accept that identifier instead.

Users may complete other profile and onboarding steps without providing a tax identifier. Tax/payee setup may remain incomplete and payout eligibility may be withheld until the information is required and provided, but missing tax information alone does not prevent assignment readiness where the applicable PWORKS workflow allows work before payout setup.

  • reviews, messages, support requests

5. Location and Address Data

PWORKS uses location and address information to support local services. This may include matching Clients and Providers, calculating service area availability, estimating travel distance, detecting timezone, determining local currency, generating local service pricing, improving pricing accuracy, understanding market demand, supporting fraud prevention, assisting with payments, payouts, tax estimates, and compliance, and supporting service check-ins or service proof where enabled.

Precise location may be collected only where enabled by the user or required for a specific feature.

6. Automated Pricing and Market Intelligence

PWORKS may use automated systems and algorithms to estimate local service pricing. Pricing estimates may use country, city, region, postal code, latitude and longitude, service category, service timing, seasonality, urgency, travel distance, job complexity, provider supply, customer demand, historical pricing, market research data, currency, tax estimates, payment fee estimates, and platform margin rules.

These estimates help PWORKS improve local pricing, service availability, provider earnings estimates, market expansion decisions, and user experience. Pricing estimates are not guaranteed final prices. Final pricing may vary based on job details, provider acceptance, local conditions, taxes, fees, and market availability.

Where required by law, users may request more information about automated pricing or ask for human review of a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

7. Pricing Scan Logs

PWORKS may store pricing scan records. Pricing scan records may include user ID if logged in, country, city, region, postal code, latitude and longitude, selected service, requested date and time, estimated price, currency, pricing confidence score, pricing mode used, market factors used, source data used, and created timestamp.

We use pricing scan logs to improve pricing accuracy, test global currencies, measure demand by market, improve service availability, identify weak or missing pricing data, detect unusual activity, troubleshoot pricing or payment issues, and support business analytics.

8. Payments and Third-Party Payment Processing

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another third-party payment processor.

Payment processors may collect and process payment card data, bank account data, identity verification data, tax information, fraud prevention data, and transaction data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

PWORKS may receive limited payment-related information, such as payment status, transaction amount, currency, refund status, chargeback status, customer ID, account ID, and payout status.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

PWORKS may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, store language, country, and currency settings, understand app usage, monitor performance, improve features, detect fraud and security issues, measure marketing performance, and personalize experience where permitted.

Where required, users may be given choices about non-essential cookies or targeted advertising.

10. How We Share Information

We may share personal information with:

  • payment processors
  • hosting and database providers
  • analytics providers
  • mapping and geocoding providers
  • email, SMS, and notification providers
  • customer support tools
  • fraud prevention and security providers
  • identity verification providers
  • tax and compliance providers
  • professional advisors
  • government, law enforcement, or regulators where required
  • Providers and Clients as needed to coordinate services
  • business partners where necessary to provide requested features
  • potential buyers, successors, or investors in connection with a business transaction

We do not sell personal information for money.

We may share information for advertising, analytics, or similar purposes where permitted by law. Users in certain regions may have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.

11. International Data Transfers

PWORKS may store, process, access, or transfer personal information in countries other than where you live. This may occur because of our hosting providers, payment processors, support tools, analytics providers, communications providers, contractors, or infrastructure.

Privacy laws may differ between countries. Where required, PWORKS uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, technical safeguards, vendor reviews, and other lawful transfer mechanisms.

12. Legal Bases and Purposes

Depending on your location, PWORKS may process personal information based on one or more legal bases, including your consent, performance of a contract, legitimate business interests, legal compliance, fraud prevention and security, protection of users or the Platform, payment and transaction processing, and tax and accounting obligations.

Our purposes include providing the Platform, enabling services, calculating pricing, processing payments, supporting users, improving the product, preventing fraud, complying with law, and analyzing market demand.

13. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may vary by data type. Examples:

  • account data may be retained while the account is active
  • transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, fraud, and legal purposes
  • pricing scan logs may be retained to improve pricing models and market analytics
  • support messages may be retained for quality, dispute, and safety purposes
  • payment records may be retained as required by payment processors, tax laws, and financial rules
  • provider onboarding records may be retained for verification, compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute purposes

For Canadian tax and information-return records, PWORKS may retain required records for at least six years after the year to which they relate, or longer where applicable law, a legal hold, audit, dispute, or regulatory requirement requires it.

Users may request deletion where permitted by law, subject to legal, contractual, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, security, and transaction-related exceptions. Tax identifiers and supporting tax records will be securely deleted, de-identified, or otherwise disposed of when the applicable retention obligation and any legal hold have ended.

14. Security

PWORKS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encryption in transit, encryption at rest where applicable, access controls, authentication controls, logging and monitoring, vendor security reviews, least-privilege access, secure payment processing through third-party processors, and incident response procedures.

Full tax identifiers are segregated from the ordinary user profile and routine operational views. Normal profile and Regional Manager workflows receive only completion status or masked metadata. Retrieval of a full tax identifier is restricted to authorized HR/Finance personnel and designated platform administrators for a documented tax or compliance purpose, uses an audited server-side workflow, and may use short-lived access links rather than exposing the identifier in normal application screens.

No system is 100% secure. Users are responsible for keeping account credentials safe and notifying PWORKS of suspected unauthorized access.

15. Breach and Incident Notification

If PWORKS becomes aware of a privacy or security incident involving personal information, we will assess the incident and notify affected users, regulators, or other parties where required by law.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, delete personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, object to certain processing, restrict certain processing, request data portability, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, request information about automated decision-making, request human review where required by law, and file a complaint with a privacy regulator.

These rights may be limited by legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, transaction, or operational requirements.

17. Canada and Quebec Privacy Rights

Canadian users may have rights under Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws.

Quebec users may have additional rights, including rights related to data portability, de-indexation where applicable, privacy impact assessments for certain technologies, and privacy-by-default principles.

18. United States State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain United States jurisdictions, including California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, may have additional rights. These may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of targeted advertising, limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

PWORKS does not sell personal information for money.

19. European, United Kingdom, and Other International Rights

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent, and rights related to automated decision-making or profiling.

20. Children and Minors

PWORKS is not intended for children. Users must be old enough to use online services and enter into agreements in their jurisdiction. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child where parental consent was required, we may delete the information or disable the account.

21. Marketing Communications

PWORKS may send service-related messages, account notices, booking updates, payment notices, security alerts, and support communications.

Where permitted, PWORKS may also send marketing communications. Users may opt out of marketing messages, but may still receive important service, legal, safety, payment, or account-related messages.

22. Policy Versioning and Consent

PWORKS may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users or require acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy before accessing certain features, including booking, payments, provider onboarding, payouts, or pricing scans.

PWORKS may record policy version accepted, acceptance timestamp, country code, locale, user account ID, device or browser information, and IP-related metadata where appropriate.
